Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) Health Indicator Selection
The Hawaiʻi Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) Program is a population-based surveillance system
designed to identify and monitor maternal experiences, attitudes, and behaviors from preconception, through pregnancy
and into the interconception period. It is a written and telephone survey that is linked to the birth record. The program
is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Division of Reproductive Health. In Hawaiʻi this
information is captured by the PRAMS Program in the Family Health Services Division at the Hawai?i State Department of
