Usually sleep at home, high school by county, 2017, 2019, 2021

Why Is This Important?

A safe, secure and reliable home environment is important for healthy development. Each year an estimated 4.2 million youths and young adults experience homelessness. Teens who have been in the juvenile justice system, foster care and those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning are at greater risk for homelessness. Homeless youth are more likely to report substance abuse problems, mental health issues, and are at greater risk for physical harm and sex-trafficking.
