Here are some key highlights for Hawaiʻi from the fact sheet:

  • 9.9% or 112,500 adults have been diagnosed with some form of cancer as of 2024.
  • 78.9% of women in Hawaiʻi ages 40-74 years have had a mammogram in the past two years.
  • Honolulu County has the highest rate of breast cancer screening (82.1%) while Hawaiʻi County has the lowest rate of screening (69.5%).
  • 17.7% of adults in Hawaiʻi ages 55-80 years who are current or former smokers have had a lung cancer screening in the last year.
